Front Squats 5x5x5x3x3x3
Metcon:
3 rounds of AMRAP in 4:00 of:
9 burpees
12 deadlifts (Garth and Tom went RX’d at 100kg, Super Dave at 80kg)
15 wall balls (20lbs)
Strong front squatting today out of all three GYG members. Super Dave’s PR is 90kg, and he got one at 85kg today (after a number of sets of 5’s and 3’s). Tom and Garth were, as always, VERY strong on the front squats. We saw Tom and Garth both front squat 107kg: Tom for three reps, and Garth for two.
Moving onto the metcon, Tom and Dave both saw it for what it was…a BRUTAL combination of three take-your-breath-away movements. Before we started Garth said “What do you think, Zach, 12 total rounds is do-able, right?”. WHAT?! Tom remarked that 9 rounds would be KILLING it. Super Dave kept his thoughts to himself, which were “I sure hope I can get 6 total rounds”. This one crushed all three of us. Tom has this ability to really “endure the suck”, and it certainly showed this morning in his outperforming both Garth and Dave. Everyone deserves a trophy for doing this one today, though. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 on the “Suck – O – Meter”. It doesn’t quite deserve having the suck o meter up on the blog, but it's close.

Stay tuned for TOM MOHR’S BIRTHDAY ON THURSDAY, and a special birthday WOD that only the sick, twisted, I-love-the-pain mind of Tom Mohr could come up with!
Here are some potential WODs that Tom might request:
1) Kalsu RX'd (135lb thrusters and burpees)
2) 50 rounds of 50 double unders, 10 second rest between each round
3) 1000 bodyweight deadlifts for time
4) Post to comments other workouts you think Tommy might dream up
Tom's 100kg front squats for three
Tom's 90kg front squats for five
Dave's 80kg front squats for three
